Link to The Red Star, a Nepali English newspaper close to the Communist party of Nepal - Maoist, published from Kathmandu Nepal.
The elections are due in Nepal next month, and there is mass popular support for the Communist Party of Nepal - Maoist. This is unacceptable to the US + India. The Maoists feel it is important to communicate to progressives and Leftists internationally, as there is a high possibility of a coup backed by the US and India if the Maoists win. Furthermore, the entire international press, the UN, the US, EU etc are all against a Maoist victory.
The new Maoist constitutional proposals are also in this issue of Red Star. (Some may be surprised to hear that the Maoists of Nepal recognise the 'third gender', that is LGBTs). Here is the link .
