Felling of trees by builders in Nantwich, Cheshire.

In front of where the flats will stand were very many mature trees. All healthy and lovely to look at, on a hot summer's day, they gave good shade for walkers.
This week most of the trees were felled. They spoilt the view for the flats and were not wanted by the builders. A discussion with the representative in the site office confirmed that the builders had approached Crewe and Nantwich Council and requested the felling of these trees. Needless to say, the council obliged and agreed to this. ( There are those who say that the councillors were rewarded for this handsomely.)
This is an act of appalling vandalism and the managing director of Brighouse Builders is Steve Bourne. The residents of Nantwich and others, should make their views known about this.
