SAVE The Livesey Museum for Children from tory/libdem cuts -sign the petition

For a small museum on a shrinking budget, where the staff put all their passion into making it a success for the community despite difficulties with the council, it attracts more visitors than any other family resource of similar scale, with up to 500 visitors per week. These visitors fall over themselves to express their delight and gratitude for this museum, and everybody who knows of it has expressed their disgust at the council's decision to list it for closure, and are now doing everything they can to campaign against any closure, which is looking more and more likely.
The council, having known of this news for 3 months, only told the museum last week that it is under threat and that the decision will be made by February 12th, and it would close as soon as April. If it does close, the suggestion is that the building (built by George Livesey who gave it to the borough in 1891) will be sold off for council cash. There's plenty of arguements against these uneccessary cuts, and there have been demands to see 'secret' finance papers.
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT BY SIGNING THE ONLINE PETITION AT http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/livesey-childrens-museum.html
OR TAKE YOUR FAMILIES TO THE MUSEUM! SEE FOR YOURSELVES! http://www.liveseymuseum.org.uk/index.html

BE READY TO OCCUPY THE BUILDING TO PREVENT THE SELLING OFF FOR PROFIT AND IN ORDER TO KEEP IT A CENTER AND RESOURCE FOR LOCAL FAMILIES!
Many many many thanks.
