Persons interested in Climate change should look at this URL for news of what happened with Methane long ago.

They seem to make no predictions on the consequences of what is happening now. Last year there was a forecast of a possible 12 degree global temperature rise if the Methane presently melting out of the Siberian bog did not burn as it came out.
