James Corin who died 3 November 2005. Killed whilst in the "care" of the state

Another death in the "care" of the state, held under Section 3 of the Mental Health Act and treated to the most appalling abuse in Downsview Ward, Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.
One night, in his frustration with trying to get something done, James targetted a number of places in Surrey. These included Reigate Police Station, where he took a crow bar to the glass doors. Surrey Police and Reigate in particular, had featured in his campaign.
Having been charged with 3 counts of criminal damage, James was remanded in custody, later to be told he would be held under Section 3 MHA. James had been suffering with ME for many years but his mind was not sick, he always had capacity. On 14 September 2005 he was taken to Downsview Ward, Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath.
The appalling treatment he received there can best be described by the lady who cleaned the ward, who said, " He came in here a fine strong man and they broke him, they broke him".
In Downsview, under one Dr Pablo Jeczmien, he was given cocktails of drugs. Some of these were contra indicated, ie shouldn't have been given together. Others designed for short term use, were given long term. An abcess formed at the site of one depot injection and the infection nearly killed him.
James had the misfortune to be under the "care" of one Pablo Jeczmien. The regime that operates in this hospital and it seems Sussex Health Trust generally, is that doctors from one ethnic group are appointed and treated favourably. This ethnic group also dominate the Trust Executives too. It could be said that they treat patients the same way this ethnic group treats Palestinians.
Jeczmien can be proved to have killed James by virtue of his gross and reckless negligence. He has treated others similarly and they have died as a result too. The underlying factors include treating people for minimal cost. People with mental health problems are refused entry to the wards if their face doesn't fit, or if they have drug and alcohol problems as he doesn't approve. Those that are admitted, get a cocktail of drugs prescribed, then discharged rapidly. They are sent home with a huge bag of pills and told to, "Go home and commit suicide".
A senior consultant at the hospital, who is appalled at the way people are treated by this man, came forward to say that, " very many of his patients have died and all sorts of other things happened, it has all been covered up".
The man continues to kill by vitue of his gross and reckless negligence. People treated for minimal cost while he and the Trust Executives, get huge salaries and bonuses. Jeczmien is having a mansion built in Israel and plans to return there to live. He has blood on his hands.
The day before James died, Jeczmien asked him if he had suicidal thoughts, reply, "yes". Had he attempted suicide, again, the reply was "yes". Jeczmien then gave him 24 hours home leave the next day. James was weak, both physically and mentally after all the appalling treatment he had endured. Less than 2 hours after he arrived home, James poured petrol over himself and ignited it. He burned to death.
Since this happened, many others have died who were supposed to be under the care of this man. The last known was Jim Plant who died, aged 28, on 16 June 2007.
One of James's interests was eugenics. He had expressed fears that doctors would operate this policy. A convenient and financially worthwhile way for the state to be relieved of people with disabilities. Or those whose views the state finds to be unacceptable, a threat perhaps?
There is a case against Jeczmien for manslaughter by virtue of his gross and reckless negligence. No one is interested as usual.
