Swansea University students launching campaign against Royal Bank of Scotland

In response to this the battle against Royal Bank of Scotland is growing all across the UK with a national day of action against the bank taking place on October the 15th. At Swansea University we believe students can give an especially valid contribution to the battle against the Royal Bank of Scotland. This is firstly because Swansea University has 18,000 shares in the company, and students have the power to get this reversed. Also, Natwest -owned by RBS- is the main student bank, and so students have the potential to threaten to remove their custom with Natwest if action is not taken.
There is a campaign launch meeting on the 10th October at the University, taking place at 2PM in Fulton House in the Collonade Room (Fulton House is the main building, and directions to Collonade room can be asked for at the reception at the entrance to the building). The meeting will be a chance to discuss creative ideas for an brilliant campaign, and to plan for action. A Plane Stupid activist will also be present as a guest speaker giving advice on mobilising effective action.
All students from Swansea are encouraged to get involved, but everyone else is also welcome as the more who contribute to this campaign the more successful it will be.
Hope to see you there!
Dave
