and global warming but they are largely
dismissed by other scientists and the public.
1993 - Two separate ice cores drilled into the
Greenland Ice Sheet to depths of two miles
both confirmed earlier evidence of many 'abrupt
climate changes' that have occurred in as little
as a decade rather than the thousand year
transition that was previously believed.
currents are the only things powerful enough to cause an abrupt climate
change wins him the National Medal of Science after years of
skepticism.
1997 - An espionage bill was voted down in the US Congress. It
would later be passed in 2001 as The Patriot Act without one single
congressperson reading the thing.
1997 - The Project for the New American Century is developed
by a think tank of neo-cons. They describe the need for a "new
Pearle Harbor" like event for the American public to accept military
action for a regime change in Iraq, which they deem essential.
2001 - Sept. 11 there is an attack on the US that was clearly
foreseen and some say allowed to happen by the FBI and the CIA
top brass. Within one month the Patriot Act was blindly passed
in the US Congress.
2003 - The US invades Iraq on questionable intelligence.
************
Ever wonder why our elected officials on both sides of the
isle are allowing the drastic changes to our civil rights with
almost no resistance?
The neo-cons are not stupid. They had no idea that a giant
change in the climate within ten years was possible until
Dr. Broecker announced his theory. That shook the foundations
of not only the scientific community, but also the uber-rich.
One could conclude that the neo-cons perceived a huge
threat to their security from the recent knowledge of abrupt climate
change, to the point that they have felt a need to dismantle the
US Constitution and the Bill of Rights in anticipation of global
famine.
Patriot Act 1, Patriot Act 2 and the invasion of Iraq would
never have been sanctioned by our Congress if the powers
that be (wealthy) were not worried about something.
Do you still think that the Patriot Acts were voted into law because
of the threat from international terrorism?
