Dear Lord Lieutenant,
Royal Seal of Approval - Crest Nicholson - Public Boast
Our Family Campaign for Social Justice Re-Crest Nicholson
With respect to the above and our recent telephone calls to your office, we would like to confirm our previous, spoken invitation.
In the first instance, we respectfully request that you avail your good self of all details pertaining to our case for ‘social justice’, concerning Crest Nicholson. We kindly reiterate that fuller details can be accessed via our, ‘Family Campaign for Social Justice’ website, at the above internet address.
In light of the documented record and full circumstances surrounding our Houseboat Eviction, (and subsequent dispossession of our entire worldly possessions for over three years, including our children’s 7 pet goldfish!) we regret to inform you that we believe your presentation of the, ‘The Queen's Awards for Enterprise’, to this same company, is very difficult for us to understand and/or accept. We also consider that it may be altogether inappropriate and distasteful.
For the benefit of doubt, we should like to confirm that Crest Nicholson publicly boast of your involvement, “on behalf of her Majesty The Queen”, on the companies’ internet website at http://www.crestnicholson.com/aboutus/.
Whilst we may accept that your duties in post as Lord Lieutenant of Surrey forbid you from entering into direct involvement in this matter, we are also respectfully aware of the fundamental principle of the office that you occupy. Namely, that you are Her Majesty’s representative, and accordingly it is your first and foremost duty to uphold the dignity of the Crown. We humbly trust that you will inform Her Majesty of this pleading.
Our Family Campaign for Social Justice is principle led. Our Family, Home and Way of Life has been violated by Crest Nicholson, this same company that you apparently commend. Orchestrated legalities aside, we have been treated most-foul by those privileged enough to know the difference between simple right and wrong, even if key figures have since left the company. Nevertheless, we acknowledge that this particular Queen’s Award for Enterprise is given for the same time span in which such wicked events have taken place.
We kindly ask for your further understanding and compassion. Please also consider that in the above same time frame, Mr. John Callcutt, former Chief Executive of Crest Nicholson (who personally directed the Crest Nicholson company eviction of our Family and Home) has since received the Award of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). He has also received a prestigious posting with central government. Mr. Callcutt CBE presently heads up the ‘Callcutt Review’ of Housebuilding Delivery, for the Department of Communities and Local Government.
Specifically regarding our case and what certainly appears to be the UK Government’s apparent blindness, and/or indifference, to corporate bullies and bullying, and the apparent rewards, of/to - the like, our views have also been respectfully made with the former Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair.
Mr. Blair once said that he wanted to bring back, "A proper sense of respect in our schools, in our communities, in our towns and our villages.”. Despite receiving written assurances from No 10 Downing Street in November 2006, (copy enclosed) expressing that Mr. Blair “hopes” that we will “understand” that such matters are the responsibility of the devolved administration and that our enquiries would be forwarded to the National Assembly for Wales, for them to reply directly to us, we have yet to receive even an acknowledgment.
Obviously, Prime Ministers come and go. It is also clear to us that company representatives change jobs and move on. Government bureaucracy in this case is proven to be a very slow process. We need to inform you that your presentation of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise to Crest Nicholson marks this awful time for our Family - for life. Our dream Home of 14 years remains smashed up and still, three years on, our Family’s lifetime personal possessions remain seized and largely unaccounted for by the High Court Sheriff.
In view of the above and in order for us to enable ourselves to come to terms with what has happened, we feel that it is incumbent upon us to directly bring these matters to your attention. We seek only a ‘fair’ and ‘just’ solution to our desperate predicament directly caused by Crest Nicholson.
Finally, it only remains for us to ask. Please support our Family Campaign for Social Justice. We are grateful for your time in reading this open letter.
We would be very grateful for an acknowledgment and /or reply. Should you have any queries or concerns, please contact us immediately.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
Vincent & Marie Louise Shalom
