Day of Action Against Police Brutality

Since the early 1990s & the Clinton Crime bill a generation has felt itself under attack by the law. Today 2.3 million Americans are behind bars, the highest level in history with no end in sight. More than under South African aparteid.
In Britain, there is approx 81K in ordinary prisons, with no end in sight, nearly 3 times higher than the early 1970s.
There has been International Prisoners justice day on August 10th for nearly 30 years now, and there has been a few events in the UK. However, is it time to join in with the October 22nd idea?

the organisers chose the saturday close to 22nd in order to be able to mobilise better.
still the turnout of the usual suspects rally wise upto now was piss poor. besides the families and friends of the victims themselves virtually nobody seems to care.
i'd like to urge everybody considering to organise something with regards to oct 22nd to consider to join forces and/or coordinate with this already existing event!
