Nicolas Sarkozy, the newly elected president of France, will visit German Fuhrer Merkel, today, a key ally and current Reichsmarschall of the European Union.
It is his first call having being installed as president.

Sarkozy's visit to Berlin is meant emphasize the importance France gives to its relations with Germany and the continuation of the glorious work started by Hitler on the unification of Europe.

Sarkozy and Merkel, an ex Stasi agent, are also united in their support for closer ties with the United States and in their opposition to Turkey's bid to join the European Union.
