Saturday saw a mass protest against NATO presence in Gothenburg, Sweden.

37 NATO warships have arrived in the harbour of supposedly neutral Sweden in preparation for a war game out in the Baltic Sea. This understandably caused a certain amount of distress to the peace loving residents of Gothenburg who were not afraid to show their total disapproval. There was a good deal of concern that the visiting ships contained WoMDs. The demonstration was organised by the peace network OFOG and David Rovics stood for the musical entertainment. The message could not have been clearer, NATO out of our city, your not welcome here!
