Campaigners seek to stop homophobic incitement
Gay charity Stonewall has received around £10,000 of donations towards plans for a campaign to stop incitement of anti gay hatred.

The lobby group want homophobic incitement to be included in the next Criminal Justice Bill, which would make it illegal f! or anti gay statements to be made on public platforms such as in musical lyrics or political campaigns.

Gay animal jibe is Noah joke
It started as a joke but has now become a farce after a Tory councillor was today suspended from an equality panel and has vowed to resign as a Conservative representative after joking that a modern day Noah’s Ark would have to admit gay animals.

David Clutterbuck a 72-year old Conservative councillor at Bournemouth Borough Council infuriated loca! l political opponents this week after replying to an email about the b ureaucracy that the biblical tale of Noah’s Ark would encounter nowadays.

First Slovenian gay partnership branded ‘awful’
A gay couple this Friday became the first to enter into a civil partnership within the Balkan country of Slovenia.

Unfortunately for Mitja Blazic and Niki Kern the partnership hasn’t got off to a great start after the couple branded the ceremony "humiliating" and ‘‘awful’’.

Edinburgh church backs gay unions
The Edinburgh Presbytery of the Church of Scotland has given its backing to civil partnerships, making it the first part of a major British denomination to support gay unions.

Last May The Church of Scotland's General Assembly considered the issue of civil partnerships and in a controversial vote, which many ministers had threatened to resign over, 372 votes to 240 supported giving individual laymen the freedom to bless civil partnerships.
