Shell are currently attempting to build an onshore gas
pipeline and refinery in County Mayo, Ireland.
They have just started work again this week backed by over 100 police to
break a really strong blockade of local people who are opposed to this
development ands have succesfully stopped this for a year on their doorstep.



The Rossport community and the Rossport Solidarity camp have put out a call to Britain
to show solidarity with them on WEDS OCT 11TH.



To show solidarity, people in Leeds will be raising the issue with the public
by leafleting Shell petrol stations on Weds 11th Oct (next weds) at the
following places and times:



Shell petrol station Kirkstall Road 9am



Shell petrol station Regent St 5pm



There will be a leaflet/banner making session this Sat and Sun at 4-6pm at the
Common Place, Wharf Street Leeds (www.thecommonplace.org.uk)
