Apologies for the capitals - but - in its own way its trying to redress the balance. Looked at again - its at least a judgement in tune with everything we got told as the bombs rained over cities. Its hard to argue against - as a reason to have very serious debates - perhaps the sort of time everybody discovers we have all got updated about, say, the promises of some western "diplomacy" offered then broken to jews about the place (also in 47 - hence that terrorism), then to arabs too - several times - or, say, the democratically elected government in iran - of the 1950s (!!!!) - then the way - ALL records agree - it was undermined the brought down in a coup engineered by US operators at UK instigation - for the oil company - then replaced with somebody that DID support the "fascists" in the second world war - as a dictatorship. The WORLD has some "redressing of the balance" to do - but - it is a fact that peace in this "friction point" unlocks the "war-bucks" that we can use to sort the rest of our problems out with.

The $numbers are immense - too large to "see" - but a comparison assists.
The costs to the world to ensure all that are hungry are fed, all that thirst have clean water, all without schools have them, all that lack hospitals have them . . . . plus some . . . . is the equivalent to two weeks of the worlds arms spend.

(- perhaps, hence some cold war slush fund addicts have such a fear of peace)
( misplaced, of course - security without the stress is good for them too - even the "corporate" citizens might discover that transitions to something THAT good could cushion any "bad" effects - if they unlock the present to the extent of stopping letting "tail wag dog"- infowar manipulations shake THEM down - the world can look up to a future that uses its sentience further than it twists its "tech" to get us all to "look the other way".

FORGET TO WATCH THAT, WATCH THIS . . . .

Here, the media seem to have forgotten to ask why - yet refer to the centrist, swindled voters as "the left" - despite the fact that "the left" in mexico - as a new coalition - are a very different - interesting - colourful - encouraging twist of the recent past too - but - IN FACT - they boycotted the election of the centrist! ( - google the "Other" campaign, uk indymedia). . . .

They dont do that these days - they try to get a peace deal - a different sort of recognition - but whenever they seem near to a mutual peace, SOMETHING seems to screw it up . . . . as it seems that somebody is trying to "radio rwanda" con - flicts into much of asia. . . .

A "BIGGER PEACE" CAN WORK. . . . IT WAS WORKING, prior to the tragic series of escalations . The attention of the world, thus the chance that the "outside" world could offer a FAR bigger, good

to the situation - in this "aftermath/ new "peace-or-disaster" energising moment.

Friends need to investigate some of the odd things happening in israel, as much as are happening in lebanese cabinet discussions. Strange disruptions have coursed into meetings as if they had got sudden electric charges or something - that pro-peace israeli interior minister "forced" to resign after what seems might have involved some unwitting female soldier in that ancient "honeypot-sting/smear" ploy (HE publicised it by reporting that somebody was trying to blackmail him, after all!) , then even a bumbled attempt, it seems, to smear the PM into the smallscale equivalent of the old sixties tyneside "assisted downfall" of T.D. Smith with the unwitting use of the local developer Poulson. The idea of these sortsof thing is the "if you invent lots of smears, some sticks" - but, in fact, the press - even the public - have gotten wise to the game, then tend to wonder what the . . . .

Good thing too.
If Irans softening of position in relation to "holocaust denying" -see his recent appearance ( + full transcript) at CBS - ( yes, THAT CBS ) - ( ie, to ".... yes, but why did the palestinians have to suffer so much" a paraphrase ) doesnt get a mention the next time YOU see a piece about him in YOUR PAPER - (eg - daily Ms strange "bogey the bogeyman" bit today) - you could ask for YOUR bit of the cash they - or the person manipulating them - got from the messers Warbux, Minderbinder, Whoops Apocalypse Ltd. OR the journalists salary they HAVENT earned.
