Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell and other nutjobs of the U.S. Christian Right are applying the most pressure for U.S. government economic and military aid to Israel.
The Christian nutters are doing this because they beleive it is the "End Times" as prescribed in the Biblical book of Revelation and they want their War of Armageddon and "Second Coming" of Christ to occur NOW! This is what is known as Christian Dispensationalism/Christian Zionism and they are using the Jewish people and Judaism(whome the Christian rightists could really care less about) to further their Middle East agenda:
