Punks attack WOMBLES

"WOMBLES are referenced in a song by UK band the Libertines entitled "Time for Heroes". In the song Pete Doherty laments the death of style and tells us that there are few things more depressing than the sight of an English man in a baseball hat.
Less well known is a song by an abrasive Colchester crust punk band, Obvious Anti Capitalist Bias, called "Time for Ketamine". In which the singer laments the death of critical analysis within the "Anarchist" activist millieu. The song reaches a crescendo with the repeated screaming of "Antonio Negri can suck my balls" which fades away to distressed mutterings of "I'm reading Negri in a K hole, I'm dead inside.......". Whilst no group is explicitly named, it is believed that the lyrics were aimed at the WOMBLES and their fellow travellers. Rumours that this may lead to some serious "beef" with WOMRADE RAW have not yet been put to bed, and with the impending release of Obvious Anti Capitalist Bias's B side discography entitled "KET PEDALING NONCES WEAR WHITE" the rumour mill is hitting productivity quotas that would make be a Soviet middle manager blush."
One question, WHY? WHy attack people like the WOMBLES how are making a difference? Why pick petty fights with the good guys when there are millions of people out there eating in McDonalds and wearing Nike. The WOMBLES are about fighting capitalism, about giving people and alternative.
It really saddens me.
