London mayor Ken Livingstone's Crossrail stunt is misguided

London mayor Ken Livingstone has joined forces with the big business conglomerates and the City of London to bring some [they brazenly expect] credibility to their planned destruction of the Brick Lane and Whitechapel London E1 area.
Livingstone has been effectively given the task by the Crossrail hole Bill interests to do something to counter the Khoodeelaar! Movement. Livingstone is behaving rashly. And without really showing that he has learnt to recognise that people in the communities often know better about what is best for our own areas.
Livingstone must not abuse his position as mayor on this one. He neither knows the East End nor can he know the East End. Not as we do. And he most certainly does not care to show any respect for our views. We have stated for the past three years that we do not want the Crossrail attacks. We have shown him the facts; we have shown him the figures. We have asked him questions. We have sat down with him to inform him of what is at stake. He has not listened. And he has not demonstrated he understands anything about this at all.
We shall not allow our community to be destroyed by a=n assault that is not needed. It takes much more than the entire planned or expected costs of the Crossrail adventure to build communities like the East End.
And it will take far far longer to build it once it is harmed in the way that it will be unless Livingstone quits being on the Crsosrail promotion trip.
We are not like big conglomerates or big bureaucracies such as trade unions.
Livingstone should pause before he makes a worse mess of it over Crsosrail than he has done.
All we are saying is that there is no economic, social need let alone demand for the |Crossrail imposition in the East End. There most certainly is not the level of robust social and environmental space or capacity to withstand the type of heavy duty nightmare onslaught that Crossrail attacks will cause.
He should also think about the fact that money is to come mainly from the public purse. That purse is in dire state. OK, it is concealed now. But there is no way that the British Treasury has the capacity to give away £20 billion now and £10 billion alter to the Big Business.
Livingstone does not understand what we have been saying in the East End. That we are not up for his bribers. Anybody’s bribes. We want our community to be spared the devastating blitzkrieg that he is plotting with Crossrail.
He should follow us and show that he has completely lost the capacity to understand what people are saying in ordinary conversations.
If he does not rethink his stunt, we shall indeed take him to court as soon as the House of Commons Crossrail Select committee sittings are over. We have made final arrangements for taking several Tower Hamlets councillors and ‘senior’ employees to court. We shall do so once the Select committee proceedings on the formally put petitions are concluded.
The Khoodeelaar! Campaign against Crossrail hole Bill is set to grow faster and stringer than anything Livingstone can legitimately honestly and openly democratically fund for true and truthful representation of the community against the CrossRail attacks.
