"May Day, I Repeat, May Day," Say Vets!

Flag Upside Down is International Distress Call
Even if we consider that many of these worried dissenters are the exact same age as protestors from the “hippie generation,“ it is still highly doubtful that many in this new group had anything to do with the 60’s and 70’s radical “underground” at all.
As a matter of fact, it’s safe to say that those now strategically organizing with mighty big plans are quite possibly the very last people you’d ever think would make waves or step out over the line. All about service to country, this new bunch of activists are actually quite level-headed, law-abiding citizens.
After all, what else would you expect from those who trained and served with the US military?
Yes, this new group consists primarily of veterans of foreign wars. In conversations with these men and women, they come across as deeply caring about what is happening to America as they did back when they enlisted (or were drafted). Quite ready then to risk life and limb fighting to defend their country, the same is still true of these vets today.
With such a dedicated bunch, it should therefore come as no surprise that many of our modern day vets “in the know” are both alarmed - and far less than charmed - to realize that what has been perpetually termed by Washington as a “war on terror” is actually a psychological operation of manufactured fear being waged against our own citizens.
There is currently cause for serious concern as veterans have either begun to suspect (or are already aware) that the “war on terror” has been orchestrated by some in power on purpose specifically to mislead US citizens into believing in a need to wage wars. Yes, you read that right. It is believed that the “war on terror” that began effectively on September 11 was orchestrated by some in power now within our own government.
Is it any wonder that a growing number of former military men and women are taking issue - and action - around this? For the purposes of keeping this family-rated, suffice it to say that an increasing number of veterans are pretty darn ticked. And, well, that’s putting it mildly.
In Internet discussion groups and veterans’ meetings from coast to coast, ex-military men and women from all political camps - conservatives, progressives, libertarians, and constitutionalists among them - are becoming increasingly aware of many things about their former employer, the US federal government, that, shall we say, more than concerns them.
Now I don’t know about you, but whenever I think of veterans, I have this stereotype in my head dating back circa the 1960’s of clean-shaven older guys, hair neatly slicked back, fake poppies sticking out of the pockets of their white short- sleeved buttoned shirts, waving American flags with pride at the annual Memorial Day parade.
When I was a kid, these men hung out in the VFW hall and seemed mighty proud to have fought some far-off enemy over there in order to keep their families and communities safe from harm back home. Those veterans, from wars that seem like ancient history to us now, held their heads high as they proudly relayed stories about defeating whichever evil-doing US enemy they were being asked to fight at that particular moment in time.
It was always with great conviction that they steadfastly defended their Commander In Chief as being absolutely justified in sending them across some sea to put them directly in harm’s way to wage some war upon some bad guys somewhere …and always for some great, noble, and necessary cause of one kind or another.
So what’s with the deal with the veterans of today? Why can’t they just behave like the vets of yesterday who saluted the flag and carried it proudly (right side up) while marching in home town parades? Why don’t you hear ex-soldiers now sitting around bragging about war stories that include gruesome tales of killing some foreign “enemy,” just like the vets of yesteryear?
Seems that a whole lot’s changed in the past forty years. It’s almost as if the average military soldier who served in the second “great” war or in Korea has gone the way of some prehistoric dinosaur. US veterans who served in Vietnam, in two wars on Iraq, and one on Afghanistan - are not our grandfathers’ vets.
What’s the big difference, between vets back then and the veterans of today? It appears to be a simple matter of what today’s vets know compared to what yesterday’s American war heroes did not.
Generally speaking, today’s veterans are more likely than ever to be plugged in to what’s actually going on across the sea. In real time, today’s ex-soldiers are able to read embedded reporters’ and current soldiers’ blogs from occupied war zones and the alternative (“truth”) media. With the advance in technology that allow users to be immersed in the very heat of battle, today’s vets have the advantage over their grandfathers as they don’t have to depend on getting their war news from patriotic short news reels that appear before Saturday afternoon matinees at the movie theatres downtown.
In addition to being connected to the Net, most modern day veterans don’t rely on the mainstream media for their news, either. Rather than being fed optimistically-slanted victories in the so-called “war on terror,” veterans in the know are smarter than that. These men and women are not easily fooled by glorified “wins” in some glamorized, noble version of war spun for them by the controlled US mainstream media on behalf of the mega-billion dollar US “defense” contractors.
No, today’s vets have a clue, and they read all the news that the mainstream media does not see fit to print. As a result of receiving more accurate information, America’s veterans are often beyond outraged to learn that the government they trusted, having risked life and limb to protect, has been waging war after war based on what they increasingly recognize as more than just a few un-truths.
Many of today’s vets are reporting that all they’ve been told by the mainstream media and from federal government employees about September 11 is simply not true. And a growing number of ex-military men and women are in fact bold enough to make their case, right out loud in public, as to why they believe that 9/11 was a military false flag operation orchestrated and carried out by some within our very own government.
Not surprisingly, more and more people are coming out of the woodwork talking about 9/11 as an inside job. While it might have been true a couple of years back that the widely held public perception was that only lunatic “conspiracy theorists” made such claims, all one has to do is surf the Internet for several hours in order to discover a multitude of reasons that prove that what America has been told repeatedly about September 11 is not true.
Wait. Did I just say several hours of searching? A Google search just performed by entering the words: “9/11 was an inside job” yielded 106,000 “hits” in .26 seconds. Imagine how much information could be uncovered in several hours?
Chances are by now you’ve either seen or heard about Charlie Sheen’s recent appearance on CNN in which he questioned the government’s official 9/11 story. But in all candor, as bold and brave as Sheen may be, his reputation as notorious Hollywood bad-boy just doesn’t cut the mustard with many flag-waving die-hards intent on hanging on to the belief that we have only a few more mountains left to go before we find that elusive terrorist mastermind hiding deep inside some far-off, remote, foreign cave.
Admittedly, it’s not too difficult a task for the mainstream media to discount a Tinsel Town ex-druggie and prostitute-frequenter who talks about controlled demolitions on CNN. The same can’t as easily be said, however, about honored and decorated military veterans who question the official 9/11 story such as Robert Bowman, Ph.D., Lt. Col., USAF (Ret.) , George Nelson, Colonel, USAF (ret.) and Donn de Grand-Pre, Colonel, US Army (ret.).
So while it’s relatively easy for the sold-out media to trash and belittle movie star celebrities as non-credible, amoral, and eccentric “conspiracy nuts,” it’s something else altogether when patriotic veterans who served our country honorably are willing to put their reputations on the line and stand up publicly and fearlessly against their former federal employer.
For this reason alone it would seem to be nearly impossible not to give at least some credence to an honored ex-military veteran when he speaks up openly and says the previously un-thinkable…that it appears that some in our very own government not only knew that the attacks of September 11 were going to happen, but that some in our government were actually behind the attacks that were then used as justification to enter into not one - but two wars.
No wonder why vets are now organizing and screaming “Mayday, Mayday!” And if you really think about it, could there possibly be any better reason to fly our American flags upside down? When unquestionably the most patriotic of all citizens, who literally put their lives on the line to come to the aid of their government, go so far as to say that their beloved nation was attacked from within in the ultimate psychological warfare operation, is this not reason to sound the alarm loudly enough for the rest of the world to hear?
It’s no wonder these veterans are rapidly mobilizing like never before! One new group of veterans that’s recently formed is called Veterans for 9/11 Truth. Initially, before the group was even formed, Veteran and founding member Alfons Olszewski created a radio station, Grassroots InfoMedia at Live 365
( http://www.live365.com/stations/alfonslof ) in order to get out the truth about 9/11.
A humble man, Alfons, is emphatic that he does not wish to be placed in the limelight. Even though he is the webmaster, radio show host, and primary founder of the group, he is far more comfortable sharing the credit of the group’s inception with the combined efforts of other concerned vets such as Matt, Stevan, and Titus, who helped get the group up and going.
These veterans fully realize that they are just a few of countless “unknown soldiers” who, knowing firsthand about military operations, watched in open-mouthed, knowing horror the morning of September 11 as no jet fighters ever came close to intercepting four reportedly “hijacked” commercial jet airliners.
Unlike the vastly unaware general public, our former (and, in all likelihood, current) military personnel knew that there was more than plenty of time to stop all four attacks… had that actually been something that our administration wished to have happen.
These vets, too, many with technical backgrounds, watched with a definite advantage as the twin towers and later, WTC Building 7, (the building that leaseholder Larry Silverstein directed to “pull it” despite the fact that it was never hit by a plane) rapidly descended at a virtual free-fall speed straight down into their own footprints the very same way that controlled demolitions take place with the assistance of explosives pre-planted on an earlier date.
While it is true that these veterans are deeply distressed that our nation’s government appears to have been taken over by those who do not have the best interests of the American people in mind, they’re not the only ones to suspect insider foul play.
Americans in general seem to doubt the official story and want more answers, too. A recent Zogby poll, in fact, found that 45% think "Congress or an International Tribunal should re-investigate the attacks, including whether any US government officials consciously allowed or helped facilitate their success.”
This is indeed cause for concern. Nearly one-half of Americans believe that our own government either allowed to happen or helped to make happen the worst attack in our nation’s history. If we are not seriously concerned for the future safety of our fellow citizens with the very real possibility of a future attack, then we are not paying close enough attention.
It is any wonder then that veterans are crying “Mayday, Mayday,” as one would be expected to shout from the rooftops when one’s beloved country is under attack? As the mission statement for the Veterans for 9/11 Truth group ( http://www.V911T.org ) states in no uncertain terms:
We have chosen to display the United States Flag with the union down as a signal of the dire distress this Nation is experiencing. Displaying the flag in this manner is not disrespectful to, or a desecration of, the flag. It is lawful to display the flag in this manner in times of distress. Ours is truly a Nation in distress. Our ultimate mission is to strive for and achieve the day when we can in good conscience again display the flag with the union up. Because then, and only then, will we know that we are rid of the forces that have placed this Nation and the world in such dire distress.
US Veterans of foreign wars are sending out a national distress signal because they believe that the government of the nation they love has been hijacked. Their goals include outreach to the general public to inform them why the official story about September 11 is not true, as well demanding a criminal trial for the actual perpetrators of the mass murders that occurred in Manhattan, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA.
It is hoped that, veteran or not, every American will check out what veterans are saying about getting behind the truth behind 9/11 - once and for all. Whether you are a veteran, on active military duty, or are interested in becoming a civilian “auxiliary” supporter, to learn more about how to join up and report for duty, visit http://www.v911t.org .
And for those among us who are civilians? Just because we have not signed up for military duty does not mean that we are absolved of the responsibility to come to the aid of our nation during national times of crisis. The role of each individual citizen was made quite clear, in fact, in the Declaration of Independence which gives clear instruction in what to do in cases such as the one in which we find ourselves faced:
“But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
Veterans throughout America are voluntarily springing back into service out of love for their country. If you know a veteran, please pass this information along to them. If you do not know any veterans, please pass this along to others who may.
Time is of the essence. We have been hearing from those in federal government since September 11 that it is not a question of whether or not another “terrorist” attack will occur - but a question of when. If we are to suspect that some inside our government may indeed be in some way responsible for the attacks, then it would not be too far a stretch to wonder if America is perhaps overdue for another such operation to justify a reason for the next invasion - such as one on Iran, Syria, or any other nation our political leaders would like to invade and occupy.
Our veterans already went above and beyond the call of duty in service to their country when they went overseas to fight in a US-staged war. The least that the rest of us can do is support them in furthering public education around 9/11, and demanding that the real perpetrators - the actual criminals who committed these crimes - be brought to justice and placed behind bars where they can no longer do any more harm to anyone else.
And if, by chance you are reading this but are just not sure what to believe concerning September 11 and you want to check this out in greater detail for yourself? The informational links provided at http://www.V911T.org is a great place to start.
In the words of Marian Wright Edelman, “A lot of people are waiting for Martin Luther King or Mahatma Gandhi to come back -- but they are gone. We are it. It is up to us. It is up to you.”
