Eucharia and Timeyi fled Nigeria in May 2004 after her husband and six year old daughter, who was threatened with rape, disappeared due to the 'Warri crisis' in the oil producing Niger Delta region of Nigeria. The family twice escaped death after their homes were burnt out, Eucharia and her son were forced to flee after her husband and daughter disappeared, now confirmed dead.
Timeyi is now settled in a local nursery in Manchester with good educational prospects in front of him. Eucharia is involved in voluntary work with other asylum seekers and refugees. They are both capable of contributing much to the local community. If they are deported back to Nigeria they both face the real possibility of being targeted and killed.
Please support the campaign by coming to eat all our food on 25 June.
