The premiere of this witty eco tale took place at the Rampart social centre on friday night. The performance from the Tax Deductable Theatre Company had the packed audience in fits of laughter throughout and received a standing ovation by the end. The unusual venue, an east london squat with make shift stage, worked well despite being hard to find in a back street off commercial road near Aldgate.
The show was followed by a remarkably funny but deadly serious talk by Tom from Global Witness about Turkmenistan and how we rely on such countries for gas. There was also live music from The Rub, Sarah Bear and Artur Dyjecinski.
The second and final performance at the rampart is tonight, saturday 6th
Doors 8pm, show starts 8.30pm.
