Professor Edalat to speak at Saturdays Don't Attack Iran Rally
CASMII | 05.05.2006 13:08
CASMII, the Campaign Against Sanctions and Military Intervention in Iran, are happy to participate in the protest at 1pm in the Friends Meeting House Gardens, Euston and invite everyone to their meeting at 3pm in the Cock Tavern nearby.
Like Stop the War, CASMII believe that the 'talking up' of the threat posed by Iran is being done to justify planned military action, just as it was in Iraq. Whilst US and British might not try to occupy the whole of Iran, they are determined to get control of a strip of land that runs along the border with Iraq called Khuzestan Province. Khuzestan is home to 90 per cent of Iran's oil.
CASMII, an international campaigning organisation, welcomes all those who want to do something to put pressure on our government to reconsider their misguided and illegal strategy.
1pm - 2.30pm - Protest - Peace Gardens, Euston
3pm - 5pm, The Cock Tavern, corner of Charlton St and Phoenix St (off Euston Rd).
