"Google has enjoyed working with blogger and thanks all the bloggers around the world for their creativity and endurance in making the company what is it today. It has long been the spirit of google to be innovative and to keep moving the internet industry forward."
"Many of us have felt for some time that we have developed blogger as much as we can hope to, and believe that the investement of an organisation like Newscorp will bring an improved service for both blog writers and readers alike."
Larry made no further comment, however Janet Fife-Yeomans, a press officer at Newscorp's online division News Interactive, whilst not absoltuely confirming the deal, said
"We have long been looking for a service to compliment our recent purchase of myspace and to increase Newscorp presence on the net. We have some very exciting ideas for the future of blogging and wish to develop it as an entertainment source as much as the traditional news source it has become."
Insiders claim this is a clear message that Newscorp is likely to scale down the free provision of blogspot sites and possibly impose stricter censorship rules. The source, who did not wish to be named told Wired magazine
"Back up you blogs now, if you think Newscorp will allow blogs hosting anti-republican or anti-Bush material you must be joking. We've already been trawling the myspace database looking for blogs we plan to delist, and I'm sure we'll get started on blogger as soon as this takeover is through"
the void can reveal that due to a clause buried in bloggers small print they can delete your blog and all of it's content without warning. the void warns all blogspot users ... Back up now!!! before Murdoch's evil minions get their hands on yer precious work.
