Colin Bundy, South African head of SOAS and deputy head of the University of London, was nominated for an Islamophobia Award by IHRC for his mistreatment of student Nasser Amin, at the same time as his hypocritical defence of the right of free speech for Dr Shirin Akiner an apologist for President Karimov, and Bundy's defence of free speech for the visits of Israeli Embassy officials to SOAS.


The Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) announces with sadness the
winners of this year's Islamophobia Awards. The awards are the
result of ordinary people world-wide nominating and then voting for a
list of people by region whom they believe to be the worst perpetrators of
Islamophobia in the previous year.

Based purely on their (lack of) popularity the shortlist and winners
for each category are:
