2006 Starts with hack attack’s at Nepali websites

During the first week of January 2006 and around the same time the Maoist’s ceasefire came to an end, the websites of Webchautari and PeaceNepal have been hacked. In what seems to become some kind of serial hacker saga, now the website of United we Blog (UWB) has had the same kind of treatment to endure since last Saturday.
All three sites are on a mission to help build awareness and each offer some kind of platform for open discussion. The PeaceNepal site also features a Reconciliation petition enabling everyone to voice their concern online.
Obviously some people don't appreciate the principles of real democracy which is supposed to be based on matters like freedom of expression. We remember Dharma Adhikari kindly explaining to us that "Democracies sustain with more dialogue, not less".
PeaceNepal agrees with Webchautari and likes to quote their earlier statement: "These persons should know that the movement in Nepal is not dependent on one (or three...?) website. It will not stop till it reaches its goal. And what the goal is, all the Nepalese know well". And we would like to add that you can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you...
