The present situation in the Middle East is due to the drive of Imperialism, in this case U.S imperialism, tail ended by the United Kingdom. This is being led by New Labour, to control the vast oil reserves and the routes of the oil and gas supplies through the region.
The brutal and savage methods, with which they are pursuing these aims have resulted in a catastrophe for the people of the Middle East – in particular Iraq and Palestine.
Date: Wednesday 18th January 2006.
Time: 7-30pm
Venue: The Friends Meeting House, Mount Street, Manchester (behind the Central Reference Library).
