The question David Cameron must put to bed

To elect David Cameron as Tory leader without having a clear statement from him on his drug use or non use is a gigantic gamble
David Cameron has failed to put the drug question to bed. On 20 Oct he told Channel 4 News, in response to a question, that he had not taken cocaine while an MP (all of 4
years eh!) .
Imagine the situation if Cameron is elected leader and then someone comes out of the woodwork - and NuLabour may already have someone primed to go if his is elected - to
expose him as a regular drug user at some time - one can see the tabloid
headlines "I KNEW DAVID WHEN HE WAS A COKEHEAD.". He would be dead in
the water and the Tory Party would be rudderless yet again.'
I do not know whether Mr Cameron has a drug history. What I do know is that the Tory Party would be bonkers to have him as leader without him making crystal clear what he has and has not taken.
