I fast in London to uncover the lies
I fast in London to recover the ties
I fast in London so faith never dies
I fast in London so truth never dies
I fast in London for ethical life
I fast in London for an end to strife
---
I fast because I am part of
huge masses of selfless millions
across this world today
participating in action
against the aims the schemes of
those who trade in
global corruptibility

Do I fast for I care?
Yes I do !
Yes I do !
Yes I do !
I fast because I care
I fast because I believe
I fast because I recognise
I fast because I identify
I fast because I solidarise
I fast because I empathise
I fast because I sympathise
I fast because I feel
I fast so I can feel
I fast in London to uncover the lies
I fast in London to recover the ties
I fast in London so faith never dies
I fast in London so truth never dies
I fast in London for ethical life
I fast in London for an end to strife
I fast in London and engage in prayers
I hear in my heart distant woes and prayers
I fast in London and pray for the hearts forlorn
I fast in sadness for those who freely abandon
others near them that need help and support
I fast before God and pray for his support
to all the unnamed victims of terrors of neglect
I fast for the strength to always defy neglect
I fast to stand beside the countless people
across Africa, in quake-hit Pakistan
I fast in my heart humbled by the knowledge
that ‘development’ ‘democracy’ ‘decency’
have been exposed as never having a place
in any of the palaces of power today
when the dying in the quake-hit Kashmir
in the rest of the area still left unrescued
will be associated with the movement of
the soul and of truth that monitored the
one print newspaper based in London
that almost monopolised the word liberal
and it decided to distort the suffering of
the quake-hit Pakistan by leading its
new-look edition with a Blair-pleasing
staged scoop at the expense of the
'market rival' China!
I fast in the knowledge that truth will out
and the pervaders of lies that over-control
the Guardian will overrun on their
multiple immorality and fraud and expire
before they cause any further harm
to the innocents who still perspire
excitedly at the mention linked to the
cruella who controls the editorial policy
at the Guardian.
I fast in the solemn knowledge that
God will bless the world with protection
from lies, liars and their oversold couriers
I fast in the knowledge that God will
provide the power of justice to all who
are denied it... I fast in humility in the
knowledge that those who are suffering
atrocity, want, persecution, hunger and
starvation today
will eventually be rescued by only
those who experience what it is like
to go without food or drink or any
amenities for a whole day
for an entire month
and have the choice of doing so
I fast because I also want to lose
that part of choice that is available
to anyone who can have a meal
whenever they want to
I fast because I model this month as my ideal
I fast because I heartily wish it to become real
throughout the rest of the year
in every aspect of life every year
I fast because of the sense of selfless beauty
that giving up affords
For I can beat the demons of self
the demons of ego
the demons of greed
in one simple unconsuming go
I fast because of that utterly unique
aesthetic universality
I fast because I am part of
huge masses of selfless millions
across this world today
participating in action
against the aims the schemes of
those who trade in
global corruptibility
I fast because of ethics
I fast because of economics
I fast because I share
the need to actually dare
the challenge of temptation
I fast in principle for
the onset of a new dawn
for the freedom of the soul
for escape from the prison of capital
market plugs spin the state of
immorality sold on the lures of
the sub humanised under the glares
of the glory aimed at the sub-occupied ...”
