Media Watch is a strategy adopted for KISSS and is led by KISSS project director Joanna Callaghan.
MEDIA WATCH is an investigative performance concerning how the popular media finds, uses and presents information. MEDIA N WATCH will analyse media speak, subtext and information dissemination methodologies.
MEDIA WATCH will trope bureaucratic investigative rhetoric and use popular media methodologies to present and disseminate information.
MEDIA WATCH is gathering ‘information’ via Correspondents and Task Forces. This information will form part of our central archive. Contents from the archive will be published online, debated live in four programs broadcast on Resonance FM and be exhibited as part of the touring exhibition.
Correspondents investigate and report on specific issues. These ‘reports’ can take the form of documented performance, written text, aural presentation, video or photography. All contributions will be accepted that address the concerns of MEDIA WATCH.
Task Forces gather, analyse and present information from popular media. Task Forces currently in operation include: Newspapers Task Force , Billboards Task Force , TV & Radio Task Force
Media Watch is calling for contributions and involvement. If you would like to contribute work to the archive, act as a correspondent, be involved with a Task Force or set up your own task force contact joanna@elastic.org.uk
