This is a classic case of being born in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Once again the practice of getting an animal pregnant before slaughter to up the weight resulted in births at the abatoir.

This time however the slaughterman couldn't bring himself to kill them (not yet) he says it's a waste.

DEFRA are insisting that he kill the lambs as "they are a danger to public health - once they've entered a slaughterhouse they are not allowed back out"

That's the Law.

Please contact DEFRA to urge them to consider Norwich based Hillside Animal Sanctuary Quarantine facilities as an alternative to needless beurocratic slaughter.
