The special troops, OMON and other services draw from SHOS and ODKB have attacked the peace demonstrators asserting them constitutional rights in Djal-abad and Osh. Many demonstrators were beaten, wounded and killed.

Soldiers of Slavic nationality participated in operation on capture of peace demonstrators that is involved of Russia. It was known, that the majority of the Kyrgyz militia were supported peaceful demonstrators.

The Kyrgyz opposition in written form has suggested authorities to carry on negotiations

According to the INTERFAX, the Kyrgyz opposition has sent to authorities the letter with the proposal of negotiations. Ishenkul
Boldjurova, the vice-president of oppositional National movement of Kirgizia on Monday informed "Interfax" that "on March 20 in second half of day through representatives of OSCE the letter has been handed to a management of republic about carrying out of negotiations". According to I.Boldjurova, the information on the consent to negotiations on the part of authorities still did not arrive.

According to the correspondent of "Interfax" from Osh, at the moment a situation is quiet in city. From informal sources it is known that in Jalal-Abad there is a mass meeting. According to the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of capital of Kirgizia, there are no any precedents in Bishkek, on the central square celebratory party passes. In connection with celebrating Nooruz, March 21 in Kirgizia is declared as the day off.

Today on March 20, 2005 at 5.30 am akaev’s mode having applied force to participants of protest actions in the south of our republic has arrested patriots of our country, as a result of beatings many people have received physical injuries, and there are data on human victims.

The mode hoped that by these actions they can stop actions of protests begun after the forged parliamentary elections. But, long-term lie and arbitrariness has exhaust patience of people, and people have acted against today's corrupted mode. All bodies of regional authority in Jalal-Abad are in hands of people.

We address to citizens of Kyrgyzstan, to all employees of militia, service of national safety, army, to support Kyrgyz people and to rise on its protection, instead of supporting criminal family of Akaev and their spongers who keep today for straw.

Today we all have to rally for the future of Kyrgyzstan, for the future of our children.

Today we have to firmly defend our civic position and declare that not people belong to authority, but the authority belongs to people.

The Kyrgyz Committee for Human Rights will carry out picket in Vienna on March 22, 2005 before a building of embassy of Kyrgyzstan to support people of Kyrgyzstan. And also will organize a briefing for delegations of the countries of participants of OSCE and mass-media, and will explain the following situation in Kyrgyzstan.

Together with KCHR in support of people of Kyrgyzstan have expressed desire to participate on picket the Republican party of Turkmenistan, Democratic party of Tajikistan and Turkmen initiative on human rights.

On central square of Jalal-Abad about fifty thousand people have gathered

Journalist Jalil Saparov who is now in the south of Kyrgyzstan informed edition of IA “Fergana.ru” that on central sqauer of
Jalal-Abad about fifrty thousand people – supporters of antiakaev’s opposition have gathered.

During last several hours they have captured all administrative buildings and buildings of city and oblast authorities. The small
number of militia employees and the soldiers of internal armies remain in a building of a municipal government of internal affairs.
Negotiations are carried on with them. The most part of employees of power structures has surrendered under an impact of national revolt.

According to the observers present directly on a place of events inform that nothing could resist to the force of the excited crowd
storming buildings of bodies of the government. Supporters of opposition have been armed only with stones, bottles with an
incendiary mix and self-made slings. Today, on March 20, 2005 at 5am Akaev’s authority under the management of generals Januzakov, Subanbekov, Sadiev and others has applied rough military - police force against peace compatriots in Jalal-Abad and Osh, protecting their civil and political rights.

These people have been compelled to sit in buildings of oblast and regional administrations in order to call the main officials for a
dialogue. But authority remains deaf to expectations of people.

Presently, supporters of opposition captured buildings of oblast administrationsin Jalalabad, Talas, Osh, and buildings of Bazarkorgon (Jalalabad oblast),
Toktogul (Jalalabad oblast), Kochkor (Naryn oblast), Uzgen, Karakulja (Osh oblast) regions.

There is no information about the deaths among meeting participants or special services, inform the sources of “Ferghana.Ru”. As the special services state, militia did not take any special measures (sticks, gas, and so on), and weapons. All captures are taking place peacefully.

Deputies of the city administration of Osh did not support mayor Chermashev

When the meeting participants entered the building of oblast administration of Osh oblast, and the governor ran away, special person on duty was appointed, who conducts registration of property and offices. People inside the building will be fed in the cafeteria of oblast state administration.

Mayor of Osh, S. Chermashev is in the mayor building and ordered the militia and special services to protect him. He urgently called deputies of Osh city
administration so they support him and publicize a decree about taking additional measures, however, deputies refused to do so referring that today
they will not take such steps.

Osh oblast state administration is captured

Osh – Today, on March 18, 2005, in the second part of a day, 400 people entered
the building of Osh oblast state administration and captured it.

Presently, it is known that governor Kubanychbek Joldoshev is not in the
building.

One of the main demands is resignation of President of KR Askar Akayev.

It is necessary to point that from the very morning of March 18, 2005, citizens
of Osh city noticed that near the city mayor security measures are
strengthened: two duty cars and one truck KAMAZ are there, also it is
noticeable that amount of militia staff is increasing. A reminder that
yesterday meeting participants after picketing in front of the oblast state
administration went to picket in front of the mayor’s office.


Elections – 2005: Opposition started out of term protest action in the central
square of Bishkek

On March 18, 2005, an out of term protest action of some oppositional movements
started in the square of Maksim Gorkiy in Bishkek. Initiators of the meeting
gave speeches, they were “New direction” headed by former minister of foreign
affairs Muratbek Imanaliev, political party «Ar Namys”, representative of which
is Felix Kulov, and human rights defender Tursunbek Akun, candidate from
opposition Jypar Jeksheev, Erkin Bulekbaev, who lost to the son of president
and a parliamentary deputy of last term.

Supporters of opposition from Issyk Kul oblast, Chui oblast participated in the
action. Mainly they were the delegates of people’s assembly in Jalalabad.
Main call of the actions was demand for resignation of president of Kyrgyzstan
Askar Akayev and creating an alternative “people’s” government.

As a first step towards achieving such goal it was suggested to create a Bishkek
people’s council, similar to ones in Jalalabad and Kochkor.

About 300 people are participating in the action. Chair of the department of
internal affairs of Bishkek, Keneshbek Duishebaev answered the questions of
journalists about conducting force actions against the meeting participants as
following:

- Yet, they are not doing anything illegal. But capturing the buildings and
blocking the highways are considered as crime and we should react to this.

- Why your colleagues in the south of the country did not take any measures
against the meeting participants who captured the building and committed crime,
according to your definition?

- Ask my colleagues in the south about this, answered Keneshbek Duishebaev.

According to the organizers of the picket, action protest will be continued
until Akayev resigns.

- Leader of the movement “New direction”, Muratbek Imanaliev, did not recognize
any radical methods of struggle in opposition. Even though he went to the
meetings, still the situation is really heated, says a doctor, observer of the
action who is from the Department of ambulance of Ministry of Health KR.



Mass of people in many regions of the country openly supports immediate resignation of Akaev.

Parliamentary elections on February 27 and on March 13 became the dirtiest and scandalous for the last 15 years. Akaev’s family were busy only with that by total use of an administrative resource, mass payoff of voices of voters and falsification of results of elections for the benefit of its own children, relatives, representatives of oligarchy and underworld who being deputies of Jogorku Kenesh will implicitly carry out political orders of 7th floor of White House.

Today's bloody actions of Akaev and his improvised are anything to others as war against own people. They are ready already by provoking interethnic collision and bloodshed just as it was during Aksy execution 3 years ago by any cost to keep the criminal authority.

Coordination Council of National Unity of Kyrgyzstan expresses the resolute protest against severe, bloody measures of akaev’s cliques concerning peace citizens of the country.

We call all compatriots to whom the destiny of our Fatherland in this deciding hour is sacred to act everywhere against family-clan,
mafia-corrupt akaev’s mode of authority.

We demand immediate resignation of Akaev!Destiny of democracy, destiny of the future of Kyrgyzstan is in our hands.
Dictatorship will not pass. People will win.

The mass peaceful pickets in the cities of Jalal-Abad and Osh today, on March 19, 2005 were disrupted by special forces the majority of whom had Slavic appearance. it is evident that they belong to Russian special forces. It is known that Kyrgyz militia supported the demonstrators.
