Service users from Mind in Tower Hamlets members forum will be organising protests against the board of trustees and management at the Anna Scher theatre 70-72 Barnsbury Road, Islington, London N1 0ES, Telephone 020 7278 2101, Fax 020 7833 9467, email  info@astm.co.uk throughout 2005 due to their continued discrimination over the mental health issue.

We shall be contacting all service users forums at Mind throughout the UK to organise protests outside the theatre and any other organiseations who have dealings with anyone who's been a patient in hospital or in the community with an on going depressive illness to stand by Anna Scher seeing that an attack on one is an attack on us all.

Not at any time have the board of trustees pointed out why they no longer wished to be associated with Anna Scher since her full recovery back in 2001 or as to why they continue to discriminate on the grounds of ones health.

We have been informed that none of those currently on the board of trustees live in the Islington area and not one hold a degree which would entitle them to make a diagnoses on another persons health, so how is it that these trustees and their sidekicks in the office at 70-72 Barnsbury Road have been able to get away with what they have been doing to the founder of the theatre?

We call on anyone and everyone who has ever had the misfortune of suffering a breakdown or mental incapacity to telephone, Fax, email, send letters to this theatre and its staff/trustees who continue their vendetta against Anna Scher and to organise and march/protest against such discrimination for if one is discriminated against then we are all discriminated against.
