US: Very superstitious? Writing's on the wall!

Stevie Wonder and Wicked Witches | 22.11.2004 06:57 | Anti-militarism | London | World

"Among them were the homes where British engineer Keneth Bigley and his two US colleagues, Jack Hensley and Eugene 'Jack' Armstrong were executed after being kidnapped in mid-September"

But on a truth scale from 1-10 this statement rates at about 1 because of lack of evidence?

Very superstitious,
Fallujah bout' to fall?

The US military says it has discovered close to 20 torture sites in the course of its massive attack against the resistance in the Iraqi city of Fallujah?

We're led to believe by the mass media networks that Fallujah is full of terrorists and all sorts of demons when it suits the US and the Coalition of the Killing.

But in fact torturing people in the new "democratic Iraq" was an example set by the US after capturing Saddam Hussein.

Because according to Seymour Hersh the US TORTURE AT ABU GHRAIB doesn't make occupying US and Coalition militants sound like saints either.

American soldiers brutalized Iraqis. How far up does the responsibility go?

Trying to turn that around and now use it as propaganda on the resistance fighters in Iraq doesn't quite work when the US has been torturing Iraqi citizens at their leisure? Does it?

Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin' glass. Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past.

Perhaps if you're an American it has become fashionable but if you resist then you're a witch?

During the first Renaissance the elites of the Roman Church and the leaders of feudal realms established during the Dark Ages, used the fear of witchcraft to keep control.

As a consequence, many totally innocent women were cruelly tortured and burnt in bonfires, along with their companion cats.

If those in power can convince the populace that they are in danger from dark and shadowy forces, or that mooted changes are a bad idea because they are sure to bring harm, the established elites can keep control for a while longer.

In their endeavour to stay in control, governments and the industrial-militarist elites are supported by the mass media networks. The mainstream media assiduously reinforces superstitions that assist governments to maintain the status quo.

But the US says it has no immediate plans to scale back its deployment in Fallujah and that a small delegation has arrived to start planning the reconstruction of the battered city.

"They had a sick, depraved culture of violence in that city," said a US militant.

But when you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer, superstition ain't the way.

The US militants believed they found some of the houses where foreign hostages were held?

"It looks like we found a number of houses where torture took place," un-intelligent US militant Jim West said.

Very superstitious, wash your face and hands, rid me of the problem, do all that you can.

It looks like militant Jim West said the above statement but did Jim West say the following statement?

ABC/AFP: Among them were the homes where British engineer Kenneth Bigley and his two US colleagues, Jack Hensley and Eugene 'Jack' Armstrong, were executed after being kidnapped in mid-September?

Of course this is a reporter behind the scenes who does not have to prove what is said? - In addition to a statement made by Jim West? Wouldn't you think?

Keep me in a daydream, keep me goin' strong, You don't wanna save me, sad is my song.

The ABC/AFP can prove what they say can they? Or they've got no proof? Show us the proof otherwise on a truth scale of 1-10 that statement gets a 1. Propaganda purported by the ABC/AFP.

Because when you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer, superstition ain't the way, yeh, yeh.

Major West says activities at the nearly 20 "atrocity sites" included "murder and torture".

Very superstitious, nothin' more to say, Very superstitious, the devil's on his way.

ABC: An AFP correspondent embedded with a marine unit saw 27 bodies that appeared to have been killed during the course of the assault on Fallujah and a prison inside a home where two mentally retarded men had been held and two corpses were found.

I note that what the correspondent said was what he saw that "appeared" to have been? Question is, did the correspondent fill in the gaps?

Now the correspondent says the military's claims could not be verified independently as the city remained off-limits to foreign journalists during the onslaught?

Militant West also says close to 50 mosques had been used by the freedom fighters for storing weapons? And that nine bomb making facilities had been discovered?

On a scale of 1-10 again about 3 and certainly not good enough to support the above claims. Unless you can prove what you say otherwise these people may have been in the Mosques praying not to be tortured or killed by the occupying terrorists attacking their homeland.

Having some military hardware as a defence ought not be a crime in a time of war!

The US militants stressed there were no plans to scale back their troop size in Fallujah although one 600 strong army task force from the 1st Infantry Division is to leave the city in a few days.

ABC/AFP: As reconstruction slowly gathered steam an eight-person delegation arrived in the city to boost the rebuilding effort?

It was not clear if the delegation was the definitive "government on wheels" being sent from Baghdad to administrate Fallujah, which was left in tatters by the 10 days of fierce fighting and months of raids before the assault.

A decision on when civilians could return to Fallujah would be made by the Iraqi puppet government when security and safety conditions were met?

A delegation will also study the issue of compensations for the civilians whose houses were destroyed or damaged in the assault?

So when you believe in things that you don't understand, then you suffer, superstition ain't the way, no, no, no!

In other developments:

US militants: playing dead?

But if you rate the US militaries excuse based on truth say from 1-10 you'd have to give the occupiers 1 under the heading 'where is the evidence really'? Captured it on camera did they? No they just said so!
