hearts, especially the British, who are normally very calm.
What Palestinian has ever attacked England....why was I scowled at and cold
shouldered for wearing a Palestinian scarf in sympathy on the day of his
funeral...
Although my grandfather put his whole family into danger danger all through
World WAR II, feeding and clothing and trying to save his jewish friends,
comrades and companions in every possible way in old Bratislava under the
noses of the Nazis, my heart goes to the Palestinian People.
I am a former stateless refugee, a Hungarian minority. From the Trianon,
yes, america, england and france, we lost fifty percent of our lands....our
lands will never be returned to us, we know that. My life was just as the
Palestinian, deportation, refugee camps, waiting for the good will of
others. They make Hungary celebrate Trianon day to add to our humiliation.
Palestine fight on, or you too will one day be like us, having to make
everycorner of the world a home which will never be home, living by
everyman's culture but ours, being judged by everyman's laws except the
truth, ours. Having to take every insult anyone wants to throw at us, why
because we of all people saved more Jews than anyother part of Europe in any
way possible? and by whom, the jewish leaders of the West, the brothers of
those we tried to save from the madman.
Also the logical in me asks, Israel, wouldn't a rich and happy Palestinian,
helped and given proper Rights be a better ally on your side than this
ridiculous endless war, which is losing you all the nostalgia the media
built up for you over the years and will leave hatred for centuries.
I can even tell you how it works, regardless of world war II in whose
refugee camps I grew up, before I was even knee high, my mother had told me
of the horrors of the Ottoman in our country, does Israel really want to be
known as the man in the Nazi style uniform who terrifies children.
I know Jews said they would never be caught out as in 1939, but you know
there was also a 'history' of double dealing and power games around that,
though it was horrendous and believe me we were on your side all through
it...and believe we all know of the wheels within wheels that is causing
this furore.
I hope Palestinians will in time be granted their land and space, as we
never have been though St Stephen's insignia still hangs in all our houses.
