As part of the build up to the G8 summit UK in June 2005, cyclists plan to transform the streets of Nottingham.
While the leaders of the 8 richest industrial countries meet in secret in Georgia, USA, carving out the future for the rest of the world, Nottingham cyclists will be out in force, filling the streets with a visible alternative to the oil madness of global-capitalism, and creating a carnival atmosphere in solidarity with the oppressed peoples of the world....
Bring bikes, whistles, flags and your friends! Meet at 4.30pm in the Market Square.
Saturday 12th June : Nottingham Carnival Against Capitalism
Meet at 1pm outside McDonalds on Clumber Street, bring Clowns, fire juggling, stilt walkers, drumming and much, much more, come in fancy dress if you wish, bring friends, fun and ideas.
