Remember when Sophie & Jocelyn Hurndall were nominated for an EMMA Award (Public Figure of the Year) and there was an Indymedia post asking people to vote online?
(See: http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2004/05/291081.html)
Well.....THEY WON!!!
Their media guy will email me a press release as soon as they get back and I will post it here and in the tomhurndall.co.uk site but you heard it here first.
Unless you were there of course.

The NatWest EMMA Awards are a multicultural awards ceremony, celebrating diversity and professional excellence within the media industry around the world. We have made a point not to be an industry-oriented ceremony celebrating financial growth success or highlighting any tribal successes, largely at the interest of other ethnic groups. EMMA has been and will continue to celebrate and highlight its cultural depths and common human nature for professional excellence, cross-cultural communication and maintaining high human values.
NatWest Director of Brand, Paulette Rowe said "NatWest is proud of its long lasting association with the black and minority ethnic community and values the opportunity to sponsor the NatWest EMMA AWARDS for the next three years. We are thrilled to be part of this event and are committed to supporting the celebration and development of excellence within the rich, culturally diverse, ethnic community in Britain"
