Its really important to support Brian's family in this, they've been struggling for nearly 10 years now for justice for Brian. It's also good to be doing it late too when a lot of people will be passing by and can relate to the circumstances in which Brian was murdered - walking down the street coming home from a night out with friends when cops stopped, searched him, and beat him with a poundage force equivalent to Brian falling 11 times his own height, directly onto his head

The family of a South London man whose death led to an international campaign for justice will hold a vigil in his memory. Brian Douglas, a popular music and boxing promoter whose case is featured in the controversial 'Injustice' documentary, died on the 8th May 1995 after his arrest by Kennington police officers PC Harrison and PC Tuffy on the 3rd May. Brian had severe fractures to his skull after he was struck an the head by PC Tuffy using a baton. Despite numerous independent witnesses that testified to the violence used by the police an inquest jury, a Police Complaints Authority investigation and the Crown Prosecution Service have all resisted calls for the officers to be charged. To this day the police officers that killed Brian have not even been disciplined. During the past nine years the family and friends of Brian Douglas have continued to demand justice.
Brenda Weinberg sister of Mr.Douglas said: "The family will be holding the vigil on the anniversary of Brian's death to show that we will never forget him and that we are continuing to fight for justice."
