Its co-ordinator, Jeff Halper, is well-known and respected by many of those within the Jewish community in Britain. ICAHD UK supports the work of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions in Israel and will help raise awareness of Israel’s gradual annexation of the Occupied Territories and will raise funds for ICAHD’s campaigns in Israel/Palestine by various means including applications to grant-giving bodies. From private individuals, ICAHD UK will be raising money by membership and by means which have already proved very successful in the US, showing videos at parties of selected people, of Israeli demolitions of Palestinian houses and what ICAHD is achieving in attempting to prevent them.



ICAHD UK will inform and influence decision-makers in the UK and will bring together people who might otherwise find it difficult to identify common ground for co-operation. To this end, ICAHD UK will be launched at Portcullis House on 22nd June where Jeff Halper will address what is expected to be a full complement of MPs and Peers filling the venue.



While in the UK, Jeff will also be speaking at public meetings in London, Birmingham and Leeds on June 24, 25 and 26.



ICHAD UK will also hold supplies of all literature and publications coming out of the Jerusalem office, including copies of Jeff’s latest book, ‘Obstacles to Peace’ and a new map, both published in February.
