THIS WILL NOW BE A JOINT PROTEST AGAINST WAR CRIMES IN FALLUJAH.
"Mordechai Vanunu, who worked at the Dimona nuclear facility in the Negev Desert, told the London Sunday Times in 1986 about Israel's secret nuclear arsenal. He was subsequently abducted while in Rome, after being drugged by Israeli Secret Services.
Mordechai has been locked away for almost 18 years. Public pressure has brought changes over the years. In 1998, pressure from supporters around the world pried open the lock on Mordechai's isolation cell after eleven & a half eleven years in solitary.

This last week has seen a number of emergency, and short-notice events called in response to the ongoing massacre by U.S forces occurring in Fallujah, Iraq. Please come to this emergency open discussion of Bristol-Stop-The-War to address what is happening, and how we can respond. Everyone's views and opinions need to be heard if we are to help a map a way forward for Bristols' anti-war movement.

From here there will be a dignified procession to Bristol Crown Court. This will be a show of solidarity with the defendants, & people of Fallujah, where in 2 weeks, US troops have killed 800 civilians, many of them elderly, women & children.

7) PALESTINE UPDATE : A FEW THING YOU SHOULD KNOW

Today, in 2004, George Bush Junior promises to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon the continuing settlement of the West Bank of the Jordan that Israel conquered & occupied in 1967. Again, this is a promise by a Western colonial power, that it has no right at all to make.
International law clearly states that land or territory occupied in war must not be settled by the population of the occupier, or by putting homes or other installations upon it, Sharon & Bush - hardly for the first time - are flouting international law. Tony Blair is colluding with them in a blatant colonialist land grab. It is hardly relevant for Sharon to claim, as he does, that the West Bank of the Jordan formed part of Israel thirty centuries ago. It is to argue that because some of their ancestors once founded the place as a city, modern Italians have a claim on London, & a right forcibly to displace the inhabitants of Notting Hill or Camden.
