Another key point was Israels current policy of the seperation wall and the encouragement Bush and Blair expressed for Sharons discriminative policy towards the palestinians.

However, there is still political intrest and opposition to the Iraq war, as expressed today, even though the current disintrest in the peace movement might be associated with the misinformation and the absence of critical reports in the mainstream media towards the mass slaughtering of civialians and other human rights breaking events in Iraq and in the Midddle East, but also maybe with the disillusionment that the peacefull antiwar protests of hundreds, thousands and millions of protesters against the war in Iraq were so miserably ignored in this so called "representative democracy", making it impossible to retain responsibility for the actions which are carried through in the publics name.

Well, the reason of why I am writing such opinionated stuff is that nothing really happenend apart from having one speaker after the other. In my opinion it was pretty boring and so did not stay long, but good that it happened anyway, and it was quite quickly organised. Also happy that one key point for the protest was the disgust about the current human rights breaches in Falludja and other towns in Iraq, where US snipers shoot civilians and ambulances, this is outlawed by the Geneva convention, see: http://www.icrc.org/ihl.nsf/0/6756482d86146898c125641e004aa3c5?OpenDocument , website of the International Red Cross: http://www.icrc.org/
