Many people use p2p for sharing of files. This is controversial, because (as media industry reps claim) 'copy kills music'. However, there is much content out there that is legitimate for 'fair use' (or whatever the regional term de vogue may be), since it directly relates to issues of public interest.
We found that especially with the closure of Sharereactor and jigle, it is not really easy to find political, news and informative stuff anymore. Thus, we built a little Web interface and database to collect some stuff we've come across and to enable people add more they know of.

If anyone takes exception to the name Indypeer, we can change that too. But we hope it's OK since we're not doing it for big buck$$$, but for the community. Consider it the index to a global data storage.
