Support the Nine Ladies Anti-Quarry Protest Camp

Location: Mount Pleasant Centre, Sharrow Lane

Time: 7-9pm
The protest camp set up to protect the beautiful Stanton Moor in the peak district from quarrying is now under threat of eviction. A public gathering and donation drop event is being held to provide people with an opportunity to learn more about the protest site and a central point to drop of donations of equipment and food which will then be passed on to the Nine Ladies camp to help them continue to defend the moor from destruction.
The protest site is urgently in need of the following items:
Wood (beams, planks, plyboard, nails)
Scaffolding and clips
Steel girders and sheets (plus bolts)
Polyprop rope (12,10,5mm)
Tarpaulin
Climbing gear (harnesses, ropes etc.)
Shovels, pickaxes, wheelbarrows, bowsaws, axes
Food, packest of high energy food (dried food, chocolate)
Outdoor clothing
Blankets
First Aid Equipment
Firelighters, candles
Walkie/talkies/intercoms etc.
