LONDON (Reuters) - Nearly two-thirds of professional people plan to avoid the Queen's Christmas Day speech this year, according to an opinion poll in The Times.
The Queen's message, which this year was recorded at an army barracks, is most popular with pensioners living in the Midlands and is least popular with wealthy young men living in the southeast, the paper said.
The Populus survey showed 60 percent of people in its professional AB category would not be tuning in, compared to 40 percent in its DE category, which includes manual workers and pensioners.
Asked how they rated Christmas on a scale of one to 10, 22 percent of people gave it full marks, while four percent who said they "absolutely loathed it".
