officially declare our support and solidarity for your protest of George

officially declare our support and solidarity for your protest of George
W. Bush's visit to your country.
We are an assembly of grassroots anti-war activists operating in the
Washington, D.C. area. For the past two years we have organized
resistance to the dangerous, immoral, and illegal policies of the Bush
Administration from our community right here in their own back yard.
Along with countless Americans we salute the people of Britain and the
world who speak out against the undemocratic wars perpetrated by the
leaders of our two nations in defiance of world pubic opinion and
international law.
Presumably, the Bush Administration intended to use this visit to Great
Britain to misrepresent the current occupation of Iraq as a humanitarian
effort supported by large segments of the global community. But because
you, the British people, are raising your voices to reject the policies
of George Bush and disown the complicity of Tony Blair, Bush's cynical
photo opportunity has become a public relations crisis. Your courageous
actions, both in your streets and in the halls of your government, have
told the world--loud and clear--that Bush and his policies are unwelcome
even among our ally nations.
Rest assured, our organization and countless other sympathetic people
and organizations in the United States have heard your voices, and we
applaud your efforts. Peace loving people in America will work
tirelessly to assure that when Mr. Bush returns home he will again face
dissent, resistance, and the domestic wing of our growing global
movement to reject the perilous and bankrupt values of imperialism and
pre-emptive war.
Yours in Solidarity,
