In this day and age, when US and EU imperialism are re-imposing a direct colonialism upon the vast majority of the world's people, nothing is more needed than a true revolutionary culture aimed to empower the oppressed people, especially the African working class, the most consistently revolutionary sector of the world's population.
The Red, Black & Green (R.B.G) reaffirms the need of self-determination, reparations for the crimes committed against the entire African community and the unification of Africa under the leadership of those who produce the wealth.
Created by the African working class, Hip-hop is now the most powerful youth culture that has defined its values in reaction of the establishment, the government corporate institution oppression.
Hip-Hop is a true __expression of a revolutionary culture!
In the hand of the corporate dictatorship, it is used as means to extract more financial ressources and slander African people as they primarily promote anti-african values.
As part of the global hip-hop scene and in tight collaboration with the International People Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) we are calling all African people to build cultural institutions to sustain creative artists as a part of a process of fighting for our self-determination for the defence of our culture and identity.
Following the success of the first event held in July and as part of the Black History Month festivities, we are launching the second R.B.G Event, which is a fundraiser for the Uhuru Movement, a mass organisation that fights for quality education, reparations, economic development and the end to the government policy of police containment - criminalisation - in the African community.
The event will look at the past campaigns of the organisation through a photo exhibition and will give a public report on the rallies, pickets and the latest African Socialist International (ASI) convention held in July. The festivity will be greeted by the performance of some of the most talented and recognised hip-hop, spoken words and ragga artists who will be showcasing their latest success.
