HOC, posted by The Crimson Repat | 07.08.2003 08:11 | Repression | Social Struggles | Terror War | London | World
anti-terror legislation, for supporting the struggle for democracy in
Turkey, in December of last year continued at Kingston crown court on
28th July.
At the last hearing a provisional trial date was set for 24th
November, this matter was raised on this occasion as one of the women
defendants is expecting a baby at the end of November. Although
special dispensation could be made and the trial could proceed on the
original date without her the prosecution want the trial to continue
with all the defendants and object to anyone being tried separately.
The trial will now take place on 16th February 2004.
The prosecution were asked to serve primary disclosure to the defence
within the next three weeks. This is material that they are not
using as their main evidence but material that they have collated
through the course of their investigation.
The evidence that they are gathering from the foreign jurisdictions
will not be served until early October.
The next directions hearing will take place on 5th December at
Kingston crown court, which the defendants will have to attend.
