AGAINST THE EU SUMMIT OF JUNE IN THESSALONIKI
AGAINST EVERY STATE & AUTHORITY

The phenomenon of globalization is not something new. We can talk about globalization since the roman or the byzantine age. Today the ruling ones, united more than ever, after the union of regimes in 1989, continue their crimes against humanity, bombing people, imposing poverty onto lots of social groups, destroying nature more than ever, preparing new technological monsters, clones etc.
The summits of the ruling ones try to present the state’s power, the bosses’ wealth and their unity against social movements. They declare with excess hypocrisy that they accept the dialogue with social movements, but only in the frames of costless claims. Anyway, they usually give a piece of bread in exchange for their anti-human projects.
More specifically, the greek presidency ending in June (then all the summits will take place in Brussels) is manifestating itself updated, trying to complete the European integration with other 10 states of eastern europe and continue the building of europe-fortress which will reject immigrants and other oppressed people. The certifications the greek state aims to be granted is for its contribution to the “war against terrorism”, since it imported the “anti-terrorist” (F-type, F.I.E.S. type) prisons in Greece for the imprisoned people being accused of members of the “Revolutionary Organization November 17th” and the “Revolutionary Popular Struggle”, legalizing interrogations under drugs and virtual executions.
Their goal is to avoid living their worst nightmare: the full expression of social rage against the state. And that rage has been clearly declared in Amsterdam, Prague, Quebec, Naples, Nice, Athens, Goetheborg, Genoa, Evian. In all those mobilizations against authoritarian summits people lived the state’s and its mechanisms’ terrorist tactics, Westberg’s shooting, Carlos Juiliani’s (and not only) murder in Genoa, choked among tear-gas and various poisonous substances spread by cops, got beaten and humiliated by the pigs. BUT they are still fighting ignoring cameras, water cannons, laws, prosecutions, arrests, imprisonments.
Anarchists participate in those mobilizations considering them as another field of the social war, and not just against capitalism. Without, of course, having any illusions about national, international or regional mobilizations, without condemning, without putting an hierarchy or abort means of social intervention, without aiming political profit. With a vision and proposal: the global liberation of society and the abolishment of state and authority.
The participation of anarchists in all those mobilizations is obviously important, taking into mind their contribution to declare human resistance against global authorities. It is a fact that through those mobilizations there is a chance given to other people fighting for freedom, not necessarily anarchists and anti-authoritarians, to realize the necessity to organize their dreams offensively and reject the syndicalist and left fairy-tales.
