The background is that NV Werk recruits for the Dutch Army, and it does so partly by calling up claimants and offering them military service. The benefit authorities have confirmed that they regard military service as a job like any other, and refusal therefore means loss of benefit.
The NV Werk lawyer also demands that Indymedia UK delete any further post concerning their activities. She also mailed Indymedia Netherlands, similarly demanding removal of all items concerning the organisation. And she wrote to me, threatening legal action if I ever write anything about them again.
I suggest Indymedia UK publish the e-mail from "Mrs LLM J.C. Arendse", if only for the humour.
The e-mail does confirm that Indymedia Netherlands removed the name of Dino Sinanovic, the army recruiter, at her request. Now Indymedia UK are confronted with a similar request, and I think they should openly declare their decision, one way or the other.
