Report from Annemasse 30/5

Arriving yesterday in train from Germany, we got through the border without any problems.
On arrival we installed our tents, and had an information assembly in the German quarters and went out in the city of Annemasse (the camping is rather far away from the city centre).
We took part in a very colourful demonstration, with drums, and everybody dancing all the way into the city centre, introducing ourselves to people in the city. Some shops were board up, as the Buenos Aires bank building, and of course the press had scared up the public in previous weeks with event.
Despite this people were applauding and waving from balconies and from the bars with banners saying PACE.
Returned to the camping place. In Annemasse the ‘Villa Intergalactika’ and the ‘Vaag’ is located (alternativ,anti-capitalist,anti-war), next to each other and very easy to access in between.
We ate in the German kitchen at the bio alternative diner. We have daily meetings to organize ourselves in the camping site. In the villa Intergalactika its organised according to neighbourhoods (desobedientes, gay, green, north-south....)
It is amazing to wake up here, camp and meet people from all over the world.
Intergalactik greetings to @ll!
