ISRAEL: Two more conscientious objectors in prison


War Resisters' International learned about two more conscientious objectors who were imprisoned recently in Israel. These two COs were not included in previous co-alerts:

Constantin Suskin (ISR13190) was first imprisoned on 16 March 2003 for 14 days. Upon his release, he was again sentenced to 28 days in Military Prison No 4. Constantin Suskin is held in the isolation ward, because he is refusing to wear a uniform.
Constantin Suskin saw the so-called "Conscience Committee", but he was not accepted as a pacifist.


Amit Ris (ISR13247) was imprisoned on 6 April for refusing to enlist into the military. He is imprisoned in Military Prison No 4, and is due to be released on 22 April.
