A Pro Bush demo was held today at 3pm outside Trinity Collage. About 50 to 60 people showed up, in what seemed like a set up to me. A major right wing contingent seemed to seep through the crowd of Iraqi people celebrating the fall of their evil dictator Sadam Hussein who has ruled in Iraq for the last 24 years “and who wouldn’t celebrate the fall of an evil man like Sadam.
The March went from Collage Green to The US embassy with the people chanting “THANK YOU BUSH, THANK YOU USA.” My anger seemed to get the better of me, due to the fact that a more cruel, ignorant and more barbarous Ruler is bombing Iraq at the moment and has the cheek to say it is peaceful crusade. “This person is being thanked by Iraqi citizens for the good job he did?.. I don’t think so”. When the war is over, Iraq is going to be rebuilt, by whom? The same “big wigs” who put Bush in power in the first place.
The pro war crowd reached the US embassy, singing and dancing all over seen and guided by a few bodies in suits and with grey hair. Who were they? Friendly American officials who were here to liberate the few Iraqi people who escaped the torture and turmoil in their own land?….. I don’t know but it looked very strange to me.
John Finerty gave a sickening speech. Saying how great the US forces are and how they have won the war.
After the media left the “grey headed suits” said “Ok that’s enough, that’s it, go home…” as he waved his old scaly hand in a shunning Gesture. Some people went on to the British embassy but I had enough insults and evil vibes, spits and curses for one day.
Can’t wait to see all the lovely peaceful people on Saturday at Shannon where I can re-vitalise my faith in human nature.
